Dimotrans knows it needs to be at the leading edge of its sector, that it needs to always provide better service and to anticipate changes in the world of transport. The group therefore plans to lead in digital transformation.
"True innovation in the 4PL world is only just starting (…) It's really about imagining how things will be organised in the future, and to think about what new customer-oriented services will emerge," confides Salvatore Alaimo.
Numerous projects are being tried out, some of which will become real between now and the end of 2016. They include a new CRM tool, a mobile tracking/tracing application that is currently being tested, and the development of digital marketing.
"We will probably also ask some of our 'user' clients to help us during our major period set aside for reflection," adds Salvatore Alaimo. "Their experience is part of the foundations of our digitalisation."
